A very delicious rum, with nice flavours. A bit on the sweet side, but it works for me!
I'd like to tell you that I loved this, but I'd only advise you to get it if you're on a budget. For a budget rum, it's ok, but other than that, it's too sweet, sugary, and the flavor is quite overwhelming (butterscotch, toffee), . It's good if you've got no better alternative, but for just a little extra $ you could get a Plantation XO, and that would definitely be worth the money.
I like this one, very much. This delicious rum has found its way around Venezuela from all over the world. It is probably their best export item. If you have never tasted it, do not hesitate, because for this price it is the absolute top.
Sweet rum which is good for sipping. It has very sweet first impression and very slight alcohol aftertaste. Overall very good standard.
This stuff is top notch. Sweet molasses and vanilla, countered by a tobacco and espresso. A truly interesting and long lasting palate to this one. While it has its mixed opinions from others, Diplmomatico Reserva Exclusiva set my standard for what a good aged rum should taste like.
This is the rum that first got my attention and which steered me away from whisky....and the one that I introduce to my non rum drinking friends. It’s a little sweet for my tastes now (reminds me of confectionery bananas) but I always keep a bottle or two on hand. Immensely flavourful, smooth and terrific value.
The definition of smoothness. It would be a mortal sin to mix this with anything else.
Taste is there, there are more complex tastes but not as smooth as this.
This is Zacapa XO quality at a third of the price.
Perfect finish, this is on my top 10 list.
I like the sweet flavour, and the price is good 👌
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I found this rum much too sweet. It’s hard to perceive flavours with all that cloying sweetness hanging about. If you like your rums sweet, and I mean REALLY sweet, this might be for you.
