This is the standard that rum should be, if it’s not at least as good as this, it’s not worth buying, having said that there are better rums. This should be the benchmark of what good rum is
This is a bit sweet. However, not ridiculously so. Wonderful flavors of vanilla, caramel, and toffee. A bit weak on the middle but with a strong and lingering finish of vanilla and butter
Has a nice sweetest to it, very good on the rocks.
Great balance between price and quality, a must have in any collection. Strong 8 rating
Have blind tasted this rum many times. Always a crowd favourite. Definitely on the sweet side, but not overly so. Also relatively good value where I am from
Found the alcohol to be to strong, missing the flavours a bit
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This was the first rum that I tried neat and actually liked it.
For me it's a little too sweet but I'm not going to give a lower rate because the aromas are amazing.
*Update:* Okay, it's too sweet. And I think it's overrated. I will deduct a point..
