I tried it at the bar 2 times in 2 days and I had bought myself a bottle... Amazing body, nice and thick, such a perfect vanilla taste and aroma, molasses taste in this rum is so tasty, don't even have the words. It's not that oaky as El Dorado 12 for example but you can also feel oak taste and not be overwhelmed by it which I like. It's sweet, but nothing like syrup for pancakes, which I don't mind since I never want want to become drunk from quality rums. This rum is in my top 3 for sure. The only thing I didn't like that it has strong alcohol feel on nosing but this can be solved with adding an ice cube or waiting for few minutes. 😊👍🏼🥃. 9.2 would be my rating for this rum it's almost everything that I want from some rum with few small donwsides but in some ways the quality was even surprising and mesmerizing. Would recommend to everyone who likes sweeter rums like me.

This rum carries that beautiful balance between rum for mixing drinks, and bourbon-ish tones that make it for the rocks. Choose the rocks with this rum! Amazing rum at a really fair price.

Standard quality rum for all night drinking with friends

Loved every drop. Some may mention sweet, however that is precisely what rum is. The trick is to balance the sweet with the fire. This makes you think of neither as you hum down each glorious sip of rich, deep, complex and smooth as ……(insert simile of choice) rum.

This rum is meant for mixing and not to be sipped. Good for a rum and cola.

Diplo RE is sweet and smooth, I get why people like it. But it just doesn't work that well for me. For me, it is just oaky and sugary sweet. I can't feel any fruits on palate like some people here mentioned. I've had worse rums, so I can tell this one is from the better category. But the added sugar is just annoying.

Its nice! I recently finished a bottle and enjoyed every bit of it. I usually paired it with a strong Cuban cigar (Cohiba, Partagas, Bolivar and Ramon Allones) great match!. The problem is, do I keep drinking it and add diabetes to my potential throat cancer and liver issues - hahaha! As many have already mentioned, a good place to start but better rums await the re-started rum adventure.

Very good dark rum. Smooth finish with leather and apricot flavors.
