My favorite up till now, make sure you always have this in your cabin.
Sweet with a clear Taste of caramel. It's has a fruity after taste.
Excellent sipping rum for the price. Sweet, creamy, caramel, but not overwhelming.
Yes, despite the purists claiming it's less rum, more liqueur, this bottle is a tasty moreish thing of beauty!
Call it a dessert rum if you want to pigeonhole it somewhere within the boundaries of the spirit, but just acknowledge that it IS a rum, just not the subtle alcohol-led rum that the time served rum enthusiast usually prefers.
Buy it, enjoy it!
Caramel flavours, smooth and soft on the tongue. The best rum I have had so far and we do rum tastings weekly. I keep this in stock for special occasions.
Very popular rum...nice smell and taste....balanced taste for everybody...
I like it very much....quality rum for very friendly price.
Vanilla and Caramell
Smooth finish
Great rum to drink
One of my all-time favourites. Mellow, sweet, hints of caramel and vanilla. Very recommended. Also works in coctails but honestly I wouldn't dilute it with anything. :)
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I am not a rum connoisseur, but think Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is a best rum or rum like liquor you can buy for $35 in Florida. Sweet desert like drink without acetone smell, fake additives. It is a tragedy that the country that produced this affordable marvel was ruined by socialism. Just like Cuba....It does not taste like Havana Club.
