This rum has the most sugar and additives added to it that I've tasted so far. Hence I was a bit dubious how this tremendous amount of sugar (over 20 grams per liter) will affect the taste, but I've got a fairly positive surprise. Although the rum definitely tastes sweet (therefore not recommended to people who prefer classic style rums), it still manages to keep a certain balance with the rest of the flavors. These flavors are rather nutty and dried fruit like, I was missing the touch of tropical fruits usually present in rums from the Caribbean. The smell is average for this age, but still very pleasant. My overall experience with this rum is good, but somehow I got the impression that I'm actually drinking a sweet liquor with some rum mixed in it. Also the price tag makes me wonder if I should vote for this rum again, perhaps as a gift (it has a nice presentable bottle with real cork closing and an artisanal stamp as the label).
A fantastic rum to sip with friends. I love the complex flavors that it brings and the smooth sipability.
Very nice rum. Priced at $68, a bit pricey.
Quite mellow.
Caramel and spicey. Yeah like it. Strong body. Best wel stroperig ook. Heel erg fijn
This is my favorite rum so far. Everything about it is perfect. The nose, front end, and back end are excellent. It doesn’t punch you with a string alcohol taste. It’s smooth with the perfect sweetness.
It’s an okay Rum, but doesn’t distinguish itself from other Rums in my area.
Very good rum from the spanish school. A bit sweet for me.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Sweet with nice flavour profile & good for its price. Flavour: cherry, vanila, maybe little oak, syrup-honey, maybe some fruits and go down easy with low complexity but tasty, very close to 8 & good daily rum....
