This is truly a beautiful rum. It punches way above its weight for the price. I like it better than Zacapa. Extremely Smooth with some sweet notes as well
Eccellente ron di scuola spagnola, amabile, rotondo e delicato
excellent rum for the price. it is pretty sweet for my taste but the complexity is very nice. for about 40 euros a bottle is a rum that i will definitely buy again.
Dark amber and syrupy I am new to rum but it's hard to believe it has 40% alcohol when it is so smooth.
Very good according to price, very popular in Czech republic, but I like Santos Dumont or A.H.Riise more
Smooth and sweet, without being insipid. This is the sipping rum I keep coming back to. If it suffers anywhere it on the sweet side, but I find it’s complex enough , with caramel and vanilla notes, to more than make it all work.
My fave
Nose: honey syrup, floral, toffee, faint citrus.
Taste: heavy honey caramel sweetness, creamy mouthfeel, floral, vanilla, tiny bit of spice.
Finish: Sugary smooth and creamy (see glycerol) with hint of oak.
Overall: Ok dessert sipper, it is heavily sugared and the heavy sweetness does hide a lot of aromas for example the oak is not pronounced at all because the sugar overpowers it and probably lot of other aromas are lost because the heavy sugar.
Probably altered with additives like glycerol too so it is not for the purists but in my opinion this rum is decent enough as a sweet commercial fake "dessert rum" to not make
me completely hate it.
But if you are passionate about getting to know real genuine rum, dont even bother.
This is definetely one of my favorite rums. Very sweet and tasty. You can feel the oak and caramel flavor on the nose and taste. You can see that there is a lot of sugar in it because it stays on the glass. Maybe too much sugar ? It is still one of my favorites and definitely to sip neat without ice or soft drink.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Trip to Publix liqour store after reading the ratings brought the bottle home. Wow! Nice deep color to match it's deep full and smooth flavor! Personally, a new contender for favorite!
