Best I've had yet. There's a really prevalent sweet after taste that isn't too sweet, being just right. The alcohol is really well infused, this doesn't feel like drinking a flavored drink and pure ethanol at the same time like it does when drinking other rums. It Does have a punch but it's a pleasant one.
In my non-expert opinion it's a really nice Rum for sipping, easy to drink with no burn.
Excellent value for money coming in at around €40 a bottle. What I liked:strong aromas and flavors of banana, toffee and caramel. What I didn’t like: the finish was a bit of a let down, wasn’t as velvety smith on the pallet at it might have been but all things considered it doesn’t disappoint at this price point
Wonderful smooth taste, great aftertaste, colour and delivery
Bought a bottle based upon high ratings from several publications. While this rum is good it was not AS good as I expected. There just wasn't anything about this rum that stood out enough to make me want to buy it again. Seems to have an after burn which I don't prefer. Next rum up!
I spent some extra cash to go with the Reserva Exclusiva And it’s worth it. Nice and smooth rum. Good aroma and color.
I still like to mix with Coca Cola more than not, however, I’m finding this is great straight. With Coke it’s one of the smoothest drinks I’ve had.
A small yet prestigious company who has taken the craft of molasses fermentation and adding to a copper pot still, become a masterpiece.
Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva should be a staple in any rum collectors bar. For a pretty complex rum at a price point ranging from $35-$43 it’s pretty hard to beat. It’s a smooth rum with aromas of vanilla, classic cola, coffee, and molasses.
On the palate I get notes of black cherry, vanilla, chocolate, and burnt sugar that leads to a medium to light finish. This is not a 10 as I have had some more expensive rums that do have a complexity of flavor and finish that beats this by a bit. But a very solid 9 when considering price point and a great sipping rum to enjoy anytime.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
