I’m not yet experienced enough to describe the different aspects of the taste and scent, so I can just say that drinking it is a deep pleasure.
The second rum for me that I can enjoy sipping slowly, after Barcelo Gran Anejo, but it’s two times more expensive in Sweden. So I’ll keep it for special occasions.

This was one of my first sippers. It is also a go to when making rum old fashions.

A really good rum, great sweet taste, this is the best sipping rum I‘ve tasted, great price also. I highly recommend it !

1. It's expensive, often top shelf at most liquor stores.
2. It has a distinct funk that is both hard to get used to and overpowering.

I don't mind the sweetness of this rum at all. Rum is literally fermented and distilled sugar, so all the people complaining about how sweet it is should just drink whiskey for chrissake. It is definitely a complex, enjoyable experience. However, I found myself switching to other rum after my first glass just because of that offputting funk, as if it was a Jamaican rum. Normally that funk is completely okay and enjoyable when properly balanced. In its current blend though, the funk is definitely overpowering, especially for this price point.

This is the rum it all started with for me. The very first bottle of rum. Sweet, very sweet, smooth with a slight burn and a woody finish. Re-tasting it now brings back the happy memories. However, tasting this, after becoming more experienced having tasted other quality rums, makes it somewhat less attractive and more liqueur-like. Doesnt change the fact that I still love it and will help me get more people hooked. So great and accessible, not for snobs

Very easy, nice to sip, too sweet for me.
It has a nice color and a sweet aroma.
Overall easy, round without particular complexity.

Tried this on the advice of people here and I wasn’t disappointed. Yes, it may seem a little sweet to some people but I found it was just right, easy to sip and enjoy, and didn’t have the burn of other rums. I would suggest finding a rum buddy to have a taste before buying a bottle. So far this is my favourite rum in my collection. Unfortunately it’s not carried in my local LCBO.

Smells gorgeous, clean, oaky, vanilla, caramel smoothness. Too good to mix.
