Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum is distilled from molasses in copper pot stills and then aged in small oak casks for on average 12 years before being bottled.
Produced in Venezuela, which has a rich rum history dating to 1896, the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva distillery is located on the northern slopes of the Andes mountains.

Good sipping rum that is very accessible to first-time drinkers. Not a pure rum, but more liquory.

In the nose: fruity tones of pineapple and Mango. Rich and very Dark colour. Sweet taste with no dominant tones. Overall you can not go wrong with this one.
Had it mixed 1:4 with coke - could not even tell there was alcohol in my drink, just the rum flavor. A must try.
Diplomatico/Botucal reserva exclusiva has its own charachter, own special taste.
It tastes a lot like raisins and other dry fruits. Very decent but still great smell and taste
Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva was a pretty smooth rum in my opinion. Sweet, but not overly...an all around decent sipper.
Chocolate velvetiness on the tongue with creamy oak spice and citrus notes balancing the syrupy sweetness.
Classic very good rum. You will never make bad decision with Diplomatico.
Nice find and my favourite sipping yet. Great as is. To good for mixing

This is a truly extraordinary rum. It’s so smooth, velvety really with all the complex flavors. It’s the best everyday sipping rum. For the price, $32.99 at Costco and Total wine, you really can’t beat it!
