So far my absolute favorite.. Great taste, so smooth, almost no burn, touch of honey..

So smooth! No ice needed. Great vanilla flavor. Sweet. The best part is the slight sweet sugar taste on the glass before your next sip. Will always have a bottle on hand.

Not a bad rum for sipping, though too sugary to my liking. It's almost liquor-like. Rather dark in color, coffee aroma, sherry/oak barrel flavor.

The taste is quite good, though the after-distillation sugaring is very apparent. If you're not a fan of sweet rum, maybe avoid this. As for me, I can see its merits. It's an easy sipper but it shines as a mixer providing some nice molasses undertones to any rum cocktail.

Great to sip, neat or on the rocks, slightly sweeter than most

You can't beat a bottle of Diplomatico. Venezuelan sanctions have made this damn hard to find but I can't wait to get my hands on more.

Opened the bottle more than 30 min. before tasting.

Medium intense caramel colour with a small water edge.
Intense in the nose with aroma's of vanilla, banana, brown sugar and some orange peel.
Soft and smooth start on the palate. Alcohol is beautifully balanced.
Aroma's of banana, vanilla, brown sugar, orange peel and caramel with a very long finish.
Score: 93/100

This is by far the best rum I have tasted so far.
Not only because it carries my favorite aroma's (I try to be objective in my ratings), but also because of the complexity, balance and length it has.
Absolutely top!

This bottle is really nice with notes of vanilla ,caramel , dry fruits and bitter cacao in the end. It is a bit sweet for me but still very good.

Straight off the bat I can say this is a really decent rum and anybody who buys this is unlikely to be left feeling ripped off.

It's really smooth and has little in the way of that nasty whiff you catch of alcoholic drinks so its had time to mature and do its thing. It's really sweet and has some luscious flavours and a really nice aftertaste which sits in your mouth like candy. Caramels, creamy vanilla/butterscotchy flavour and just the tiniest bit of spice make it pretty agreeable and while I know some might crucify me for this, I did have a sneaky rum and coke with this and it was actually excellent with bog standard coca-cola and I'm wondering how it would pair with a superb cola nut coke.

Price is about 100 AUD which in my opinion is in roughly the right ball park but I think the likes of this or say Ron Zacapa Solera 23 need to be closer to the 90 mark for me to think about picking it up on a more regular basis.

Absolutely worth a try. If you're new to premium rums, this is a safe bet to start with. Solid 8.5
