Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is made by combining yeasts, molasses, water and mash, which are then distilled in a continuous still. The rum is aged for up to 1 year followed by the addition of spices and flavors indigenous to the Caribbean Islands.
Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

Good starter rum. Not too expensive, easy to find, everybodys heard of it.Good vanilla notes peak through as a mixer.
You gotta. Love the captain it's a great drink for all round entertainment.
One of the rums with which I have started. Not really to sip but it is very decent run when you mix it with coke and lime. For not much money you can get nice drink and won't hurt anyone on your parties.
The Capn is my go to rum. Subtle vanilla hints with some other spices that are hard to place. I think I got ginger in there. Goes well with coke.
My first venture in to spiced rums, it was good and it stands the test of time. A good starting point that encouraged me to try others. Still holds it own
Haha was the first bottle I ever bought in my life. Great for what it is.
Very sweet vanilla bomb rum , also taste a bit of dark chocolate and thats it ! Sipped with ice and its not back , then with cola , again not bad but very very sweet.
Available everywhere but is nothing special. Fine for cheap rum and cokes, however, I would not suggest drinking it on the rocks.
The perfect wingman for coke

I tend to avoid popular branded rums like this. This reminds me why! On the nose it just smells of alcohol with no other dimensions. As for the taste, it's grog of the lowest order. I'll save it as a mixer.
