Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is made by combining yeasts, molasses, water and mash, which are then distilled in a continuous still. The rum is aged for up to 1 year followed by the addition of spices and flavors indigenous to the Caribbean Islands.
Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

Rum for every occasion, good straight or mixed. Cheap and easy drinking.
This one can't really be called a 'RUM' anymore considering it is only 35% alcohol, which makes it a 'spirit drink'. This is one example of how companies water down popular drinks to make it more profitable. That aside, it is a great introduction to rum for many with a nice dash of vanilla, and faint notes of nutmeg and cassia. Smooth but sickly straight, this is certainly one for mixing. I would suggest trying with apple tango, it really brings out a smooth, almost elderflower flavour out.
A standard rum for cocktails and a party rum with coke... Cheap easy affordable
Is it Rum, the bottle in Australia makes no such claim and its only 35% ABV. I found this rather sickly sweet and cloying mixing with coke. Tolerable with Ginger Beer to mask the taste. Wont be a next time
My friend sneaked us a water bottle full of this on vacation. Captain Morgan is a big name and at the time I assumed it was best stuff. Today I see it as a very average rum and if I were to spend money on another bottle of captain Morgan it would have to be private stock.
I was realy looking forward to taste this one but was disapointed at the end.
This is one of the main players but has no real personality. No real body and no real peps.
Ok for a night out getting buzzed, but not if you are seeking to enjoy a real drink.
Savvy?
this is where the average road runs and you can tell what flavors you like or don't like... Personally, I like the flavor of Captain, so this works as a go-to when I'm on a budget and want something to drink.
Denne "rom" egner sig kun til at putte i noget cola. Der smager det så til gengæld udmærket
It definately lacks the intensity and flavour to drink this on it's own, but it's actually pretty good with coke!
The perfect wingman for coke

When I first started drinking, this quickly became my rum of choice...and my favourite brand. The main reason being I especially love the carmel taste when mixed with cola. The taste becomes even better as the cola warms up and you're left with a drink with a strong carmel taste. If you don't like this, this rum is not for you. For myself however, it still ranks as one of my favourite mixing rums.
