For the price, this rum is pretty good. Lots "barrel" notes. I can use this as a sipper or in a cocktail.
Sweet with fruity flavours. Slight funk with grassy vegetative slant. Smells like too much acetone. Good enough for an everyday drinker but wears on you after awhile.
Nice and smooth. Had seen it at Total Wine and decided to try it.
Smooth, rich, reasonably priced. Used to make a Buttered Rum.
In the bottle purchased from Total Wine in Bellville IL for $21. Pours a dark gold. Very nice caramel aroma with a bit of peaches and dates tossed in. The flavor is wonderfully balanced and delicious. Nutty, marzipan, caramel nougat. I think I could drink this on a regular basis if I was ever drinking the same rum twice (LOL).
No burn. Solid. Slight funk. Not remarkable, there are better rums from Barbados.
I got this as part of the Rum Reviews tasting kit.
It's actually a fine rum for the low bottle price (~25 at Total Wine & More), but I ever so slightly prefer their light rum.
Has a funky sugar cane taste with oak, tobacco, cloves and ginger. A good rum for the money!
Straw colored in the glass with a bit of grass and sugar on the nose. Strong oak presence with a bit of brown sugar.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It's okay, but I actually like the white Stade's rum better.
