If no real experience with rum this is definitely a good starting point for a long (and probably never ending) rum journey. Taste is smooth with vanilla sweet flavor. Sure with the times and getting experience with other rums (and taste "training") you might get the impression it's only vanilla sugar and nothing more.
However to convince friends with no rum experience about the various different types and different flavors I'll usually have a bottle in my cabinet.

Strong sweet with hints of vanilla and caramel. Great classic that will appeal to many but lacks subtleties.

Beside that, I’m glad that was not my first rum in life. In that case I would probably stay away from rums.
Tuttifrutti spirit. Sorry, Don Papa.

Colour- dark
Flavour- complex
Uses - mixer
Would not drink this unless i was with someone who drinks rum with coke after they are drunk on beer, when i say complex flavours i really mean confused wouldnt drink straight but might be good for cakes or cleaning the oven

Tonen van zuidvruchten o.a. liedge duidelijk te proeven.
Heel zacht
Blijft lekker hangen.

Overly sweetened and has a very strange chemical (quite unpleasant actually) after taste.
It was part of a tasting kit I received as a gift, but having tried it, I would not be inclined to buy a bottle.

Not quite good, well smell is good, full of vanilla and it is kind of sweet BUT it has thinner tail and it completely ruins whole experience. However, it is quite good in cocktails.
