Don Papa Small Batch

Zaujímavý rum s prenikavou sviežou arómou zrelých pomarančov a vanilky. Popravde som očakával niečo menej kvalitné a nevýrazné, takže som ostal veľmi milo prekvapený.

Fľaša: dizajn fľaše je pre mňa typický pirátsky, krásna súmerná fľaša so zaujímavou etiketou. Všetko precízne pripravené do najmenšieho detailu. Samotný dizajn je fľaše pôsobí kvalitným dojmom.

Vôňa: pomaranče je cítiť hneď po otvorení a naliatí fľaše do pohára, po niekoľkých minútach citrusová aróma vyprchá a prebijú ju tóny s arómou vanilky.

Chuť: alkohol je tu potlačený chuťou vanilky a pomarančov, záver je krásne dlhý, sladký a korenistý. Možno vhodný do miešaných nápojov ale na samotné popíjanie nie je zlý. Pre mňa trocha sladký.

Záver: Chutný rum, pre niekoho možno sladký ale ide o zaujímavé "dielo". Chuť je krásny vyvážená, žiadna zbytočná alkoholová chuť či aróma. Sladkosť tohto rumu je na primeranej úrovni, chute sa krásne prelínajú. Don papa je proste Don papa. teším sa než ochutnám ďalší počin od producenta.

Easy rum to sip away, but the taste is mostly vanilla all the way.

I have read many criticasters destroying this rum, but in my humble opinion this is not accurate. The rum delivers exactly what you expect: a tasty rum for sipping.

I did not drink more then 2 glasses a day of this dark, caramel-colored beauty, and I think I cannot recommend it because of the impressive tones of Vanilla (unlike Zacapa, where you can enjoy a full bottle with friend on a relaxing day), but Don Papa gives the sipper a sweet tingle for the tastebuds.

It's a good rum, but very sweet and fruity, with giant hint of vanilla. I think most people would enjoy it, and its good for newcomers. It's also a good party rum, and you can fairly easy drink it for many hours.

Na můj vkus dost sladký, vůně příjemná, ale cena dle mého názoru neodpovídá kvalitě.

Is a brownish, clear looking rum.
It has a great scenth! Some hints of vanilla, but also a deeper, more smokey tones...
The first taste is smooth, very soft. It leaves a taste explosion afterwards, but still very smooth.
This rum is great for non rum drinkers to get acquainted with rum. Most rums are very manly, straight up kinda booze but this one is very subtle and sophisticated. I think it's because of added sugars and spices!

Seen this rum around a few times and decided to give it a try. On the nose you get candy floss and toffee apples, an odd aroma that is definitely artificially sweetened. It might be nice mixed but doesn’t have the complexity of a good rum.
