Not bad. The taste is dry with a hint of oak, not very sweet and a little bit like orange peels. Maybe it is better for mixed drinks. Light amber color.
Bottle is classic Plantation style, very nice with the cork.
Another bottle of Rum & Cane. A blend of rums from Guatemala and Nicaragua. Light amber color. Slightly sweet. Toffee and vanilla aroma. Perceptible alcohol strength 43%
6,9:The nose is very sweet, orange and vanilla. Like an oriental confection, the rum caresses the nostrils with a pinch of powdered sugar. One might think of a strawberry- or rosewater-flavored Turkish delight. The candied orange peel still contains some of its slightly bitter oil, which adds a little more depth.
Aeration confirms and reinforces the sensation of roundness. The candy sugar is melted and takes on the air of barley sugar. It's also reminiscent of the first bite of strawberry gum.
7:The palate is soft, fluid and quite sweet. The confectionery and bubblegum ambience remains, though one might have expected a stickier texture. The vanilla glides slowly over the tongue, the orange is in tune and forgets any hint of bitterness. On the other hand, a slight spicy, peppery note lifts the whole.
6,2:The finish is very sweet, with strawberry, banana and orange in confectionery form.
...than this rum. I can hardly believe there could be such a variation in ratings as on this rum, and maybe, just maybe it is like cilantro? Just genetically, perhaps some of us are wired to taste something grizzly where others taste something delightful. But I can honestly say I've never tasted any rum so "medicinal" as this. I have had good-tasting Plantation Rum in the past (I don't remember which variation), but this Xaymaca is truly awful to my own taste-buds.
Aroma - rotten fruit followed by nail polish remover, mineral water, and overripe mango
Taste - fresh sugarcane followed by sour milk, plain Greek yogurt, and a mineral water finish
Vanilla, almond, coconut and caramel in aroma; caramel, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, walnut and toffifee in body; light sweet tail.
fruits, little roast barrel, spices and leather in aroma; caramel, orange, oil, spices, smoke and oak in body; spices, smoked barrel tail.
Fruity, funky, spices, wood and thinner in aroma; sweet riped fruit (banana) start, caramel, charcoal, thinner, chocolate in body; heating lasting funky tail.
This is a great sipping rum. I also like to use this in a Mai Tai rum blend.
I love Jamaican rums. This one has become one of my favorite to bring in a little extra funk in my tiki drink.
I also enjoy sipping on this even though it's 100 proof.
Vanilla, citruses, orange peel, spices and oak in aroma; vanilla, caramel, roasted burning barrel, pepper and chocolate in body; coffee, pepper lasting tail.
Sweet and citrus nose, with hints of Vanilla and exotic fruit.
Taste of riped fruits, apple and a nice pepper afterburn. Sweet at first, but a nice complex aftertaste and a little burn in the back of the throat.
The Rammstein gang certainly knows what they're doing with their limited edition rums. After good experience with their earlier limited edition rums I didn't hesitate to buy this new Cognac cask version and I'm not disappointed.
The bottle has a different style than the earlier releases, the rum is packaged in a ceramic style jug this time. For this price (€55) it's certainly a nice sipping rum and addition to my cabinet.
Good overproof rum. There is a slight funk to this one so use wisely.
Funky, apricot snaps, light technical notes in aroma; herbs, apricot, touch of glue in body; light riped fruit tail.
7:On the nose, we get oak spice and vanilla with lightly pungent baking spice (allspice, nutmeg and hints of cinnamon) and leather. Caramel and marzipan climb into the breezes and well as notes of banana and bits of bittersweet chocolate.
7,2:On the palate, this rum is lightly sweet with light caramel and chocolate flavours combined with leathery oak and vanilla. Baking spice (cinnamon and hints of clove) and dry fruit (raisin) add some complexity as does a taste of nougat and pungent tobacco. It is pleasant to sip with some higher citrus notes brightening the palate.
6,8:The finish is short, but it is smooth with ebbing flavours of chocolate caramel and fine oak spice.
More dry than sweet ; very stable and medium aftertaste ; elegant and complex
Ripe banana very present in nose ; storm of dried fruits ; molasses deep ; honey and tobacco are important key notes
But also apricots, tangerines, vanilla, chocolate and oak wood
Aroma - tomato soup followed by rancid meat, diesel soaked mangos, and lime peels
Taste - tomato soup followed by diesel, nail polish remover, fresh cut grass, and a strong earthy mineral finish
This is one of my favorite tiki rums. I can interchange this for a number of other rums.
I dont understand why people enjoy this so much. How is it even rated a 6?
This is a great cocktail rum. It's not a great sipper so it knows it's place.
This ReimonenQ Cœur de Chauffe is a less reduced version of the ReimonenQ Blanc Cœur de Chauffe 50%.
After distillation in ReimonenQ’s double column still it rests in stainless steel vats before being reduced to 59% and bottled.
The nose is round, fruity, vegetal and a little spicy with aromas of mango, lime and pepper.
At the palate it’s rustic, fruity, spicy and a little bitter with flavors of pepper and lime.
The medium long finish is round, fruity and sweet.
This Agricole works great neat, which my rating is based on, as well as in a White’N’Stormy or a Ti’Punch. If my rating should have been based on those two drinks the rating had been close to 10.

Have tried several spiced rums from smaller U.K. distilleries, this is definitely up there. Nice colour and smell, does feel very artificially sweet at times, but a has a great flavour. Would recommend to to anyone looking for a U.K. rum. Bottle is a belter as well

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
