Thoughts: Not as impressive as the original Rumbullion but this is full of Christmas and oranges. A little spice on the tongue initially and then full of cloves and Christmas again. It doesn't wow us enough to make us buy another bottle but would work really well at bringing Christmas to any time of the year.

8,2:On the first nose, the first impression we get is a quite rigid rum with some medicinal/roasted notes, as roasted nuts and nail polish. Alcohol is not integrated very well. The rum is dark with thick molasses, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, herbal with black tea and dry with dried fruits, some bourbon notes, spices.
Aeration brings out different facet of this rum, as becomes lighter and woodier with raisins, dried apricots, candied fruits and caramelized yellow fruits. Now it is delightful, yet we get another wave of new notes when rested at least 30 minute with berries a nougat. On the last nose we get some lime peel, rubber and it becomes a bit tanninic.
8:On the palate, the first attack is heavy and rigid with buttery cocoa, vanilla and dry with dried fruits, very peppery spicy. It is very woody, there's caramel, black tea, is bitter with roasted notes. After half an hour it opens, becomes gourmet and sweet with dark chocolate, caramelized confectionery, brown sugar. We receive another wave of notes later with citruses, tannins, after quite a while, it is very velvety with chocolate fudge, nougat, licorice and brandy notes.
8:The finish is at first dry and woody, quite intense with roasted nuts and tannins, dried fruits, spicy. When the rum opens, we get a different story, as the rum is fresh, lighter with brandy, dark chocolate and honey, nougat at grand final.
It fucking opens up, when well rested, 8,7 then.... 🤘Very complex...It becomes fucking wonderful after 30 min of oxidation... 🤪

This was pretty good. Quite smooth with a low burn.

Smooth and sweet as expected, but really well balanced and more complex than any other Diplomatico I’ve had.

I feel like I’m underrating it relative to everyone else. It’s not extraordinary to me though.

Some floral lots of booze. Rubbing alcohol vibe a bit here. Light golden colour. It's cheap, at least.

This is a spiced rum on a jamaican rum base.

Nose: Heavy, fruity jamaican style.
Palate: very sweet , caramel. But evaporates very quickly.

Reminds me of childhood candy necklace. Not strong, very sweet. Needs to be mixed, but would make a weak cocktail without something else.

Tasted at Firewater Grill tiki bar on 8-31-24. Clear. A banana bomb aroma. Tastes like a melted banana popsicle. If you are into synthetic banana flavor- this ought to be your go-to rum. Might be a lower sugar substitute for banana liqueur.

Flavor: "tropical"
Notes: this reminds me of the wine coolers of the late 80s, specifically the "tropical" flavor.
If gifted a bottle of this, I'd mix it with Coca Cola on ice and drink from a stadium cup.

Tasted on 8-31-24 at Firewater Grill. Pours clear. Weak pineapple aroma. Mild pineapple and meringue toasted flavor. Watery. Not much here.

Dochuť: Kůže, bourbonová mírná sladkost, sud ze starého dřeva, delší 👍
