Im really appreciating a good agricoles rum lately and this has the nose but the taste does not carry it across. It's funky and grassy on the sniffer. And promises a good time. But when the night comes to deliver, you're left wondering was it all talk?
It’s got a lot of aroma that you’d expect from agricole. I get fermented fruit
Then the flavor is much more clean & smooth. Some citrus, sugar cane
At first sip, I thought I was drinking something from Martinique. It's a pleasant rum, made in the agricole-style using freshly pressed cane juice, rather than molasses. Where it differs from Martinique AOC rhum is the use of alembic pot vs continuous column still. Grass notes still dominate, but there's also an earthy undertone present.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Nice Agricole. Authentic tasting. Some smoothness. Lots of grass and slight sweetness. The aged is better. Good distillery with quality rums. If you like light/white rum add 2 points.
