Rhum facile à boire. Bien fait, léger, pas trop alcool en bouche. Touche de caramel.

Sugar estimated at 40 GPL. Nice colour and an oaky caramel taste, but very sweet. I find out from reading other ratings that it's an agricole rum which explains the grassy taste that I find present in this rum. The major concern I have with this rum is that here seems to be an artificial sweetness. Overall it's smooth and has a short burn on the palate, but I can't get past the sweetness factor. I am probably going to mix it with a dry rum to make it better. Maybe an Appleton rum would give it new life.

It really isn’t a sipping rum to me. Nothing offensive about it if you use it as a mixer or cocktail rum, but there are cheaper runs that do that just as well.

Good enough to sip or for cocktails, very mature for a five year old rum, lots of flavor without being overly sweet.

Easy and sweet. Caramel, brown sugar, vanilla and spices notes. Short/« dry » finale.

La bouche est douce, une belle texture suave et un peu fondante. Il est sur des saveurs de caramel salé, de cassonade, de mélasse profonde, de la vanille, du poivre et des noisettes. Finale un peu « aride ».

Sommes toutes très agréable. Prix raisonnable!

Had a tasting at local store. This is the middle offering if 3. Better than the Anejo but another uninteresting typical Dominican rum. Too much burn for the bite. Too sweet. And too thin. Would make a good mixer.

Has the distinctive Dominican taste. Hints of maple and banana leaf. Similar to a light bacardi, so if this is the reserva I am wondering how much blander the Anejo is. Not a complex rum but then again, you get what you pay for and this rum is inexpensive.

Light caramel in colour. Vanilla and some faint burnt sugar on the nose. Same flavours going down with some caramel added in. Has a profile typical of a Dominican rum but without the depth of some others. Not much burn but strong alcohol aromas in the swallow and aftertaste. Would give a 6.5 if I could. Probably a 7-7.5 if it had less alcohol aroma. All that being said, pretty decent rum. Good with some ice or as a good quality mixer. Worth a try.

Au nez un peu fumé et de couleur foncé. Il est pas mauvais, il a un goût de bois, caramel et vanille.

Beau rhum avec un bon rapport qualité/prix à boire en dégustation ou en ti-punch.
