Sailor Jerry Spiced

Was recommended to me by a (sailor) friend of mine, and I tried it because I liked the color. Not unenjoyable, but I found that it leans a bit too hard on the initial taste and doesn't have a particularly impressive finish. There was also something a bit off about the overall flavour - not enough to prevent my enjoyment, but enough for me to decide to return to my regular rums after this. Overly sweet, and far too intense on the vanilla.

Mixes well. Marginal straight.

If i'm in the mood to have a few mixed drinks I would not hesitate to grab a bottle of Sailor Jerry spiced. While it's a more mass produced commercial rum, it still holds its ground and retains some blended flavours on the palate past the initial ethanol burn. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a sipper however I do believe it can be done. 5/10

This a popular rum that almost everyone has heard of. That's why it's always on my shelf. If someone isn't an experienced rum drinker this is what I use. Plus, it's inexpensive. I don't mind finishing off a bottle on my own or with friends.

Ok, it's a bit commercial now but this is a great spiced smooth rum. Good aromas. Way too easy drinking! A favourite with mixer.

Its not my favourite by any means but the light spice is not overpowering and is better than many. Im looking at you Bacardi.. anyway if Im mixing this is my choice. It's decent quality.

Was ok..not amazing,had this with coke for Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend it was smooth and smelled great but didn’t leave a nice after taste and I thaught it was real cheap s**t to be honest,wouldn’t turn down but wouldn’t recommend it :/

Here's one that can be used in both ways without feeling too bad about it. Although there are some better mixers for a lower price, Jerry can still do it well. It's a keeper.
