Sailor Jerry Spiced

Very good value, lovely rum. A good daily drinker that won't break the bank

New to these reviews so thought id start with Old Faithful - Sailor Jerry's.

This is the rum i always have in the house to be mixed with Pepsi Max in a tall glass with a little ice whenever i take the fancy.

Dont think its supposed to be a sipping rum and ive always mixed it. Nice sweet (but not overly so) flavour that always goes down well.

This is my benchmark Rum

It's pretty good. It’s hot on the tongue and going down. I like rum neat but 92 proof is strong si i don’t drink thi that often but it seeems that half the time I end up logging into Rum Reviews to say how much I like it. Full flavor and deeply spiced with no over-abundance of any one thing. Drier, less mellowed and less smooth than Kraken. Has the potential to char yiyr throat on the way down so small sips are best for me. I like it more every time i buy it. My rating has gone up by two notches since I first tried it. A classic rum.

"Sailor" is always in my cabinet. Its a solid reliable rum that mixes well with coke and dry ginger ale / ginger beer. I always add a wedge of lime and it nakes for a very refreshing drink, love the vanilla notes and corked bottle.

Much vanilla, perfect mixer. Not sure for sipper. Price is higher than competition such Captain Morgan.

A friend brought this rum to my attention, and it was fairly decent. mixes quite well with sodas especially with the heavy vanilla taste it has. for the price its good, but there are much better rums in it's price range.

Its the reviews from all the people here that made me go look for this treasure. I love it 1 to 2 mix. Only had coke but will try the rest later.

Sweet and strong vanilla flavor. Another great mixing rum other than Appleton V/X.

This is a strong tasting spiced rum, not for sipping and does not make a great rum and coke. Strong artificial flavour and not aged rum flavour. This is no longer in my home cabinet.

If I hadn't drank so much of this when I was 19 maybe I would like it more... It's not smooth at all and it's too spicy. Just skip it
