Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

This is a quite good rum, which is a bit more refined than the 23 year old version. I don't detect a whole lot of difference though and it's definetly not worth the price premium over its younger brother. For Zacapa fans it might be worth it, but you can get a lot of much better rum for the money.
Not the best rum ever, but it is very good. Especially for that price. Not too sweet, flavour is complex enough. What can I say... Good choice if you want to have a pleasant evening in a warm company of friends.

This is a great rum. was not going to get it until my wife forced me to. Damb. Well it is worth the C-Note. Such a great taste. I mix with a coke and it is outstanding. I would highly recommend it. I use it slowly because of the cost.
Sehr guter Rum. Smooth, toll in der Nase. Leider etwas teurer.
A very strong influence of cognac, and since I do not really enjoy cognac sorry, a seven it is!
Costs as an XO cognac, but cognac is much more difficult to produce.
Duft: lækker sød duft. vanilie, røget, blomme, kandis og en lille smule sprit.

It is rich with coffee notes and a little tobacco.

Nice nose, but the mouth is light and thin, very very sweet. Too much, for me. Short finish
