Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

One of the best sipping rums you will find!
Smooth and sweet, yet not overbearing. Very easy to drink neat at the end of a hard day.
On à tous cette fille ( ou garçon ) cute mais sans plus, pour qui ont a le béguin sans trop savoir pourquoi..,
Mon rhum crush, XO Zacapa.
Great taste, strong scent. Not as good scent as Santa Teresa but better taste. Bottle reminds me of snobby cognac. Would not gift to friends bc of bottle.
Quite expensive but a great bottle. The nose is strong with a lot a sweet. It is more straight forward than the Millonario XO for example and delivers it's power with a bit less subtility (that being good or bad depending on your taste).
A great Rum but not perfect. Overpriced I find...
Smooth, no bite and love the woody notes. Great sipper. Tried it in a rum old fashioned and was absolutely wonderful. Prefer it neat though.
I was fortunate to purchase a few cases of Zacapa XO at $60 before it became hugely popular. Locally, the price is $110+ now and I don't believe I would recommend it for that price, although it is one of my favorite rums that I drink "neat."
Sweet....... Razzer
I knocked my rating down to a 9 after discovering that a bottle of this rum is saturated in sugar! 26g per liter to be exact. Tisk, tisk...and, yes, there should be an international law!

It is rich with coffee notes and a little tobacco.

Well to say the least, this is the best rum on the nose of all the rums i have tasted. The mouth is excellent if you let er sit for about 10 minutes after pouring. When i first tried this stuff i gave it an 8, but after playing with it a bit bumped it up where it deserves. This rum is nothing less than extremely complex, it has more flavors throughout the enjoyment than any other rum. Lots of excellent flavors from start to finish, everything you come to expect from fantastic rum.
