Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

Smooth. That's it. Only one word.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a rum you can't miss. You may not ever become a rum fan...but you will certainly respect it going with this choice.
Smells amazing at first, with notes of hints of caramel, cinnamon and dates. Has a bit of burn down the pipe but give it a while because the long lingering spicy aftertaste is good.
Duft: sødme, nødder og cognac
Smag: virkelig dejlig mild og lang eftersmag.
still one of the best, but it looses a bit, the earlier Ones where better.
Expected a lot more from such a quite high priced bottle. Personally you get a better rum in the Diplomatico Exclusiva, where you can get 2½ bottle for the same price......................
It lacks body and mouhtfilling qualities, and you just get a suckery sweetness without finess, but sure it would go well with a Cola :-)
Smager som en Zacapa, og mildnes og sødes langsomt i takt med at den iltes og varmes
Very dark color, nice aroma and taste, but tail is strong and alcoholic. A little bit smoothness would move it to the top.
Se trata de uno de los mejores rones que he probado. Sutil e intenso a la vez, se notan las melazas de las que procede este asombroso Ron. Su color es ambar claro y su aroma dulce camufla de forma sutil su alcohol.
Well-balanced, more sweet than bitter. Yummy cognac flavor combined with light caramel, and minimal wood and molasses makes it delicious!
Appearance: Dark Amber
Aroma: cognac, wood
Taste: balance of slightly sweet and slightly bitter
Flavor: caramel, wood,
Texture: light body, smooth
Finish: long, sweet, bitter then sugar

It is rich with coffee notes and a little tobacco.
