Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

Frankly I don't know how this is scoring so high. Key lime pie tastes great but it is not rum.
Maybe because it was aged in Sherrie and Cognac barrels it has a perfume back round that is distinct and very good but not rum-ish. This reinvention attempt is good but not what I ordered.
I like Key Lime pie, and they brought me Coconut pie. Good pie but not what I ordered.
Definitely better then the 23 Solero
However I’m still mixing this
Lekkere rum met zoete vanille tonen en een lekker houtbarrel smaak. Wel een iets te bittere nasmaak naar mijn mening

This rum is something very special. A little sweeter than my usual tastes, but the rich notes of raisins give it a fruity complexity. The presentation is top notch and this is a huge step up from the 23 which I find nice, but too sweet and not worth the price. You are better to pay the extra for the xo and get something truly special.
Aroma de banana, bem suave, desce macio, o álcool não se faz tão presente, deixando o amadeirado se sobressair
Nose is fairly sweet. Taste is similar to bourbon, but sweet. Super smooth. I enjoyed it even more over time.

It is rich with coffee notes and a little tobacco.

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
