United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Good with ice or with Coke. Very smooth. The closest that a rum can come to a bourbon.
Don't try to be Captain Morgan...that's just another commercial grade rum and both of you make enough of it!
The smell of this particular offering from Bacardi is tremendous, full of oaky vanilla tones. The actual taste is a little sweet for me as well as the usual complaint about the harsh nature of Bacardi. Best drunk with cola or in a long island iced tea. Fantastic addition to my Rumtopf jar when used in conjunction with some cherries.
V teto cenove kategorii zadny hit. Ale celkove mi chut rumu bacardi moc nevoni, tenhle patri mezi ty, co se daji jeste zkousnout. s colou asi ok.
Lots of vanilla in nose and taste. Little bit of honey and some spices. But haven't noticed any oak. Tried only straight, but it can be good with coke. Good for drinks or as a shot.
I have a little of the old Bacardi Spice still hanging around and this is better. The nice Oak char works great in coke or mai tais. Smooth enough to drink straight I would suggest mixing to really play with the flavors this has hidden. They worked with Coke to balance it perfectly with the cola so I keep it mostly with that.
For begginers only! It is right in mixtures only. It has some flavors but nothing to impress me .
It tastes similar to Captain Morgan Spiced but falls short in both quality and taste. One to get out at a party to save sharing the good stuff!
this give a rum a coke a new name definitely gives it a unique taste! would recommend to have once in a while.
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This a good rum for just mixing with cola. I think the flavors just lend itself to mixing. Particularly at it's pricepoint. Plus, I find that it is not as sweet as some other spiced rums.
