Great on the nose molasses. Nice subtle spice notes on the tongue. Raisins, baking spices, other dried fruit. Medium finish
This is not a sipping rum, burn and aftertaste. Not great but had to try it. I will contaminate this rum with coke.
Very smooth Rhum, touch of vanilla, could easily be used as premium base on tiki cocktails.
The nose on this is too thin and too dominated by ether/alcohol notes... It noses far younger than it's purported age. The back end / taste is better but is barely rises to the level of a sipper, and at $30 where I'm at, that doesn't cut it. N: lighter brown sugar and some alcohol, not great. T/F: tasts better than nose, cinnamon sparkle, lighter spcie fade, still some alcohol residue, barely sippable.
It's got pretty much everything you'd want in a decent rum at a very good price. It's not a great rum, but for the price it's very good.
I wasn’t expect much. Was quite a surpise!
Strong and clean. With some aftertaste.
Predominant taste notes of green apple.
Too good for the money.
Nothing to complain about.
If you want a decent rum for a few euros then try it.
Easy going.
The first thing that hit me was a surprising funk in this. It's a Hampden 8YO or Worthy Park level of funk, and overall, it's very reminiscent of WP Single Estate, but half the price!
If anything, it's a bit more complex than the WP, but the finish is dry astringent and a bit grassy.
I've been looking for something similar to the above Jamaicans but at a budget price, and here I've found it. It's perhaps lacking a little finesse but it's tasty, dry, quality juice.
Smell is funk - banana, varnish, touch of grass
Palate is the same, with brown sugar.
Finish is very dry, astringent, with grass coming through
Wow! From other reviews I was expecting a mildly harsh but enjoyable rum. The nose was pleasant ,a good start. First tasted neat, smooth and very light. No harsh burn or taste so far but very very light, almost literally watered down too much and needs a little longer to kiss the wood barrel. Ok not a great sipper. Move onto mixing - what a revelation. I had to check to ensure I hadn't mistaken this for Havana Club AS, nope - its better. This rum is almost the most pleasant mixing rum I have ever had - easy!. Ok, it lacks depth and is very one dimensional but damn it is smooth and easy to drink on the warmer days. Great price to quality ratio here in Aus. Looking forward to testing its more mature siblings. This is knocking on the door of an 8 for its likeability. Highly recommend this for a simple rum.
I did not expect much as this was pretty cheap rum in simple bottle. But actually it is good!
Pleasantly warming and going down very smoothly. Lots of vanilla and smoke. Interesting aftertaste, very mild burning like after some chillies. Good for sipping and mixing.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I'm pretty new to rum world but I fell in love with this one. Great aroma and taste. Absolutly best for it's price.
