Saint Lucia | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still

The first sip and you can feel the sweetness of vanilla and honey. Then you have the feeling that you are drinking alcohol stronger than 40% abv. The finish is dry, but relatively short. There is no feeling of artificial sweetening. For me 6.5/10.
Nothing wrong with this offering but just doesn't stand out on a very crowded shelf. Isn't a sipper in my eyes and as a mixer falls in favor of new and potentially better discoveries in the section.
I love this stuff. Happily drink it neat but it's absolutely stunning with dry (ginger ale). I love that St Lucia has it's own unique style of rum. It's not quite like anywhere else, sort of a combo of Bajan and Jamaican styles. It's also great quality for the price you pay.
For the price, it is very drinkable, but on the other hand, it is nothing special.
Quite approachable. I think this could be a very good rum for those just getting into it. It's no eye-opener, but it is not at all bad, especially for the price. An easy sipper with reasonably good flavor, and some heat. This would also be a good rum for baking!
Mellow on the nose, hints of fruit and molasses, some alcohol, a nod to the pot still component, but not funky. Nose extends/amplifies to the palate, and adds some barrel spice and a citrus note. Fairly dry.
For the price, you could do a lot worse than this one! I like it.
Not my taste notes, but eloquently said: Rich dark amber in color, typical pot still richness comes through the aromas carried by whiffs of cooked banana, caramelized fruits and spicy oak derived vanilla. A well balanced mid-palate provides structure around flavors of chocolate, golden raisin, tobacco and clove, which dissipates over a long creamy finish
Nice woody smell and taste, but toho strong for me. Definitelly good price and performance ratio, but not for me.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Quite savoury a bit more pot still rum than I had imagined before having this brand. A little bit of funk in this genteel diamond. Fun to sip but probably not going to buy for the home bar, might go for something a little bit fancier.
