I bought this rum solely because of RumRating's recommendations. A white rum rated 6+/10 sounded like a perfect mixer for light cocktails.

Well, it's not. It greets you with a strong ethanol smell and it tastes like vodka with just a splash of rum flavour. "Ok, ok, maybe it's not a sipper, I'll give it a try in a drink". With mojito it was acceptable at best, with daiquiri (fresh limes, Monin syrup) it tasted... cheap.

I gave it a few tries and different situation and it didn't worked out. Plantation 3* is both better and cheaper.

Not the greatest for sipping. Ok, a bit plain
After a few sips it gets better. Sort of sweet

Good rum and good price for mojitos, Cuba libre; etc. For the same price I prefer Habana Añejo

This is a very clean and sweet mixer rum. Its flavors are not overpowering or harsh.

This was probably a decent rum before they aged it for 4 years and filtered the hell out of it.
Aged rum should not be crystal clear!

Notes of vodka and breakfast cereal. Hay, cocoa, a little nuttiness, cake frosting.
There are better mass-produced white rums out there, but this one's still okay.

I wanted to try the Seco as I really liked the 4yr. It has a nice sweet balance that makes a great Rum & Coke Zero. I'll always have a bottle in the cabinet.

Marketing tells us a lot about sugar-free, gluten-free, kosher, volcanic soil, renewable energy and more. And what about this rum itself (sorry, "ron")?
It is impossible to drink it neat. Сuba Libre is okay, but absolutely nothing special. Since I'm not a connoisseur of cocktails, I don't know how good this rum is as a base. I don't like it, cos in my oppinion, rum should give coctails something new from itselfs, not just alcohol and absence of something that can spoil the cocktail.
FdC4ES - clear, soft, but almost no aroma, almost no taste, no reason to drink it neat at all. Could drink instead of gorilka (vodka), but good gorilka much more cheaper.
I see no reason to buy it anymore, and I won't. Expecially because it is from Nicaragua, which has been supporting russia in its aggression against Ukraine since 2014.
