Pyrat XO Reserve

The first time I had this was in the Oak Room at the Copley Fairmont in Boston. It was a nice amber color. The initial taste was somewhat this lacking a firm body but had a nice taste. the finish was pleasant but lacked the "coating \" that I hoped it would have.

I was confused about this one. It smells good, but the taste is kind of artificial, fruity with a lemon ending. It doesn't go well together.

So I saw the bottle in the airport taxfree store and instantly grabbed it because of the shape. When I opened the bottle I felt a really strong alcohol stank. Poured it in a glass, the taste was strong. So I let it breathe for 10 min took another sipp and vola the taste was actually quite nice. Mixed it whit coke and it didn't taste that good. So for me this is a good sipper.

Color and taste IS so good. We tried at home. Ooooooooo

I taste is 1st time in tropical island and it was very good smell fruity w. orange taste, sweet. Time to time I drink it.

Pyrat XO har jag goda erfarenheter av, en riktig speciell rom med toner av citrus och givetvis en god rom som passar mina smaklökar. En snygg flaska som i sig ger en lust att köpa den, och den gjorde inte mig besviken.

I understand that the rum is aged in "American sweet oak barrels" but it is too sweet for my tastes. It's good for mixed drinks but at a $40 price, I have many other alternatives.

Just great, but you have to let it sit in the glass for a couple minutes. The bottle is one of the best looking i've seen. Its not a sweet rum and not easy to drink, but i like it a lot ! Would buy again.
