Pyrat XO Rum is produced from nine different Caribbean rums that are blended and then aged up to 15 years in used American sweet oak barrels.
The squat Pyrat XO rum bottle shape is inspired by the typical design of rum bottles kept by pirates and ship captains in the 19th century.

Not too bad, wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be.
Drinking it straight or on the rocks gives you warm drink with a peach cherry hot with vanilla undertones.
I liked the aroma when I opened the first bottle. But the taste let me down. It's fine as a mixer but there are rums just as good for half the price to drown in pineapple and gauva juice.
When I first had this rum it was bottled in Antigua and it was my favourite. Neat at
Fridge temp. Patron bought it out and now bottled in Guyana. It has gone seriously down hill. Must being blended with inferior stock. Need a new favorite.
Not something I would normally get, but it was interesting. Very orange/citrus taste that was refreshing with something a little lighter.
Smooth, sweet and a refreshing taste...perfect rum at a good price

A bottle for three good friends chating after a long time ,

A very definite hit of oranges.
"The orange taste is very much at the forefront and the burn leaves behind a bitter tang of orange peel."

This rum tastes smoothly and maybe this blend is fine, but rum flavor is beaten with orange. Taste is a little bit sweet, but orange is dominating...
