Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Jeden z moich ulubionych rumów, przepiękna butelka, wpływ koniaku na języku wyczuwalny. Oleisty, gęsty, naprawdę przyjemna konsystencja tego rumu. Dość wytrawny w zapachu, aromat winogron, trochę jabłka, koniakowe nuty. Dość słodki, alkohol nieźle ukryty, niska pieprzność, duża owoców, może trochę czekolady. Finisz długi, przyjemny, owocowy (mango!). Plantation w ogóle ma świetne rumy, polecam tą firmę, ciężko znaleźć u nich coś słabego.
Quite nice rum to sip. A bit too shallow and sweet for me, but still very good and a solid sipper. If I could, I would give 7.5 Points.
Hard to find a bad word about this rum; golden caramel colour and on the nose, vanilla, some cocoa. Worth its weight in gold.
Très bon en dégustation, une bonne surprise acheté par hasard.
It’s such an easy sipper. They did a great job on the blend, added sugar notwithstanding. The 40% abv contributed to the somewhat light mouth feel, but there are just so many subtle flavors in here that it’s tough to not like. I dropped an ice cube in it to thin it out a bit. Still a nice hint of a burn…and a very enjoyable little buzz for my troubles. The price was right. Great rum for beginners and/or guests who haven’t had much sipping rum.
I never thought my current #1 would ever be displaced from its spot but WOW!!! To be fair, this one is about 30% more ($80 vs $55 for Diplomatico). Is it worth it? Yes, absolutely! It is fantastic and the aftertaste is delightful with caramel and vanilla notes. Really long finish and it’s extremely smooth with no noticeable burn. So very sweet, which is what a rum should be! I cannot recommend any better at this time. What a great find!
Bardzo dobry rum w każdej postaci często cena Ok w stosunku do jakosci polecam
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."
