From Mt. Gay distillery and named after Frank Ward the last owner before being sold to giant Remy Cointreau. 100% pot still , single blend rum bottled at an impressive 59%..
On the nose , cherries , lots of cherries.. oak , slight citrus note and spice. Tastes dry with predominantly cherry flavour which im not a fan of... bit of a burn but a nice warm mouth feel. Good exit , lasts a long time but does dry your mouth out unfortunately. Added a couple of drops of water which made it taste more like whisky..
Sorry but I just cant get past the cherries..

Distilled 2009, bottled in 2018. 59% ABV, straight from the cask. Barbados single rum.

n: so delicate compared to the Caroni alongside it. Cherry wine. Explodes onto the palate with cherry, apple cider, passion fruit. Not being a fan of cherry, I like it but I don't love it. Still, it is impressive.
