Pampero Aniversario was first crafted in 1963 to commemorate the Pampero company’s 25th anniversary. The rum is a blend of rums ranging in maturity from four to six years and aged in whisky and bourbon barrels.
The Pampero distillery was founded by Alejandro Hernández of Venezuela in 1938. The brand is now a division of the world’s largest liquor holding company, Diageo.

Flavour is sweet, with hints of caramel. Not too dissimilar from the more expensive Ron Millonario XO, for the price well worth it.
A dark rich amber colored rum with a wonderful aftertaste. An incredible buy for around $35 that had tones of sweet flavors from the molasses, and hints of vanillas. The finish on this glass was a bit stiffer, which I liked, slimier to a bourbon.
Very good value for the money, a real sipper. One could get addicted to iits taste.
Grabbed a bottle at the airport purely based on price and what a nice surprise. Nice mellow taste with sweet finish, perfect everyday sipper.
Celkem dobrý příjemný rum s bohatou chutí, kde je však kromě ovoce a chuti dřeva cítit i chuť kůže (podobně jako Pussers), což úplně nepatří k mým oblíbeným. Ale určitě stojí za ochutnání.
Automatically I pick up molasses on the nose, very little alcohol burn no matter how hard you inhale. Taste of Tobacco. Leather, molasses and raisins, very smooth with little burn. This one could be a keeper and I can see this being a must on could nights by a fire.
..but nothing interesting - weak taste, I would prefer another bottle next time.
Its a good sipper, not really how i like my rum to taste but anyways it was something else. I won`t buy it again tho. Bought it just to try something new. And oh, nice packaging !
I miss complexity and balance. It has little sweetness but harsh alcohol notes. Okayish.
