Pampero Aniversario was first crafted in 1963 to commemorate the Pampero company’s 25th anniversary. The rum is a blend of rums ranging in maturity from four to six years and aged in whisky and bourbon barrels.
The Pampero distillery was founded by Alejandro Hernández of Venezuela in 1938. The brand is now a division of the world’s largest liquor holding company, Diageo.

A bit too strong and sharp for my taste. Works perfectly on "old fashioned" variation: Rum (4cl), Lime juice (1/8 wedge), syrup (5-10cl), Angostura bitte (2 dash).

Vanilla, tobacco, brown sugar, and oak.... this is a perfect Rum for me, it is a grown-up Rum.

This was the first bottle of Rum I bought and I liked it immediately. I try to have some in stock all the time. Rich, leathery with a strong vanilla and tobacco tone. The first sip a bit sharp but very smooth after. Be careful with it!
Great smooth taste no burn and lovely with just a cube or two of ice no need for a mixer. Great value for money.

I drank it for a very long time, in short and well, I couldn't taste it at all. Nothing special, butnNice bottle and packaging.
