Kokos och choklad. Söt och fyllig smak, lite som en pralin.

When i read some of those reviews, i realise people are so demanding. It is very good and ladylike liquor you would enjoy after a nice meal. The chocolate, coco and vanilla flavours are intense. It is not a rum for everyone, cause it is very sweet, but it is very well made liquor. I do prefer stronger stuff, but this Ratu liquor of rum is perfect to end a nice dinner with good friends. I prefer it with an ice cube.

It's very casual, laid back, if you just want to have something sweet and alcoholic that isn't dairy based, it's a good choice, definitely not a first pick for if you really enjoy traditional rum flavours, but it's just a nice thing to have when you want something and aren't bothered

Tried a glass on the rocks, very thick with liqueur consistency and sweet flavour

Enjoyed the smell. I would characterize as liqueur style of rum with predominant caramel flavor. It's fairly sweet and syrupy in the mouth but would make a nice after dinner drink. Only 35% but a bit of a burn is still present. Added Coke and made a disaster - not good. Stick to straight or on ice and it's a decent 6.

One of my regular go tos. Wife loves this also. Deep, wide maple tones on the palate with pleasing coconut finish. Quality Dark Rum, Well priced

A good cocktail rum and may be not a favorite of many but I love it

Many flavours from chocolate to vanilla to citrus to caramel. very soft and long in the finish despite 37% vol. At room temperature I like it the most! I didn't know the 5.year-old before, so I don't mind that this one tastes completely different.

Although by definition a liqueur and not a standard “ rum” this stuff is why I have so many unfinished bottles of other rum. Sure the Dictator, Diplamatico and top shelf stuff all goes, but the Ratu stands alone, and unfortunately the issue is with this rum that once the cap comes off, it rarely ends up back on before it quickly evaporates. The grazes and cuts on elbows and knees, the gastric ulcer, marriage counselling, early onset dementia, blackouts and gout are a small price to pay for the almost religious experience of being able to attain states of advanced refreshment with this titan of the rum world. There is not a rum drinker I know, and even some of those strange folk that don’t like rum, that have tried Ratu and not been stricken with the immediate need to drink more. A lot more. It may be so good it is actually evil. That is why I only gave it 9/10, just in case it has got some kind of supernatural omen in every bottle that makes you want it. The only reason I go to work now is to buy more. Try it if ye dare, and at thine own peril!
