Jamaica Pot Still Rum
Color: Pale gold
Nose:
A truckload of esters at first nosing, predominantly citrus fruits, pineapple and banana. Slightly medicinal, my wife even smelled cowshed, but this reminiscence of peated whisky moves quickly to the background.
Sweet, flowery and grassy. Becomes fruitier over time.
Palate:
Extremely fruity, brute and tasty stuff. Creamy caramel and toffee in the beginning, then fruity schnapps and overripe fruits (pineapple, banana).
Needs water and then develops a wonderful creamy fruitiness and spiciness.
Finish:
Very long, warming from deep inside, very spicy, but still fruity as well.
Highly recommended !

Very tasty and fruity nose with bananas and a bite is greeting me. It's a little bit light but I don't get the vanilla wood, that suggest a young rum. For 4 years, this is a good nose. I would gues that it's older.
The initial taste is also fruity but also light. But in the middle there is an explosion of fuits.
This is the best 4y old WP I had so far. It can compete with Smith&Cross although I don't know how old it is. In the finish there are also some tasty malt notes and again a whole bunch of fruits.
This is a great rum, I can't stop sipping it. If this one would be aged 4 to 6 more years, it would be exceptional.
Nose: banana, citrus, some sugar syrup and some paper (very light, like panama rum)
Initial taste: fruits (backed apple and banana), some honey, some anise? (there is a spice)
Middle: the fruits became more and more intensive (wow), they just exploading (mango, banana, orange and apple)
Finish: spice, backed apple with citrus, some malt, salt, again fruits
Aftertaste: very fruity (backed apple)
