Prinzipiell kein schlechter Rum.
Another HabVelier experiment with a high ester count. It doesn't seems to have much of oak/barrel flavours. I suspect they're mostly swamped by all the other flavours. Probably what I expected for a 6 year old.
On first pour I left the norlan on a nearby shelf. Shortly afterwards I detected this glorious nail varnish/pear drop waft. Hints of pineapple and citrus nearer to. First sip and there's lots I find familiar but hard to name - overripe pineapple and other fruits, some waxy petroleum hints in the mouth 15 minutes later.
It is 67% but I dont feel the need to add anything.
More drinkable than the HLCF, but again I haven't returned to it for months.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Like its bigger brother, the HLCF, it first shows hints of superglue, paint and varnish. Let it breathe for a few minutes! You will discover pears and and other dried fruits, reminding you for a moment of southern Germany fruit brandies. Once the smoky oak arrives at the roof of your mouth, you'll be reminded that you're having a Jamaican Rum. I tried it in Mai Tai, but be carefull what other rum you use for it might very easi dominate it. The LROK asks for a equivalent Partner. If you like to sip it pure, take your time. A great and rare rum to enjoy!
