Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Love the colour of this and the taste is good also. But there are better Rums around at half the price 👍👍
Very smooth tasting. Very dangerous drink. The kraken will sneak up and take you down.
I can smell the spices but I can't smell any rum, plus it gave me a burning sensation in my stomach
For years, this has been my go to. I enjoy rum and diet coke. The flavors in this black spiced delicacy provide enough sweetness to cut through the dull flavors of the diet pop, while also providing a little spice to bring out the flavor I like tasting most in my mixes. Rum. For anyone looking for something good, basic, and not trying to be something its not, I recommend Kraken
Not a big fan of spiced rum but is is good to have in a bind and goes great at a party.
The first rum i've ever tried. Since then i've added 10 new rums to my cabinet. It tastes more spicy and vanilla than my other rums.
It has a great taste with coke but I prefer to drink it alone or with very little coke.
Very black rum. No outspoken taste. Not much body.
Pretty sweet and spiced, but also easy to drink. A good mixer. Makes my favorite Dark N Stormy
Not a bad rum but massively over rated in my opinion ,,not a rum id buy again
A caramel/treacley heavy molasses like smell. .
"There is nothing subtle about the spicing and the caramel flavour makes the rum, to my taste overly sweet."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

On the nose:
Ethanol/Acetone forward, maybe some coffee and molasses, but not much going on there.
On the tongue:
Again ethanol/acetone forward, but much stronger, then some nondescript sweetness, perhaps some banana, but most like artificial sweetener. Medium tongue and mouth spicyness but surprisingly non in throat.
Personal:
Not much going on here, might be good for a mixer but so are many others that are cheaper.
