Kraken Black Spiced

i don't normally like spiced rums but found the Kraken with its caramel background to be an easy tipple with coke. This ones not a sipper forme.

Very dark and very sweet, with notes of caramel, vanilla, cardamon & other spices, some say as well mint, but I'm not so sure. Goes very well with cola. Will not enchant people who prefer it dry.

Its ok, but im not big on super dark or spiced rums rums. Definitely has a unique flavor profile. Way better than anything Captain Morgan offers

Inside that really cool bottle is a very drinkable Spiced rum. Nice vanilla and caramel notes with great spice. Very smooth and sweet. Definitely an easy drink. My only negative criticism is that its a little thin.

Okay, I love rum with a cork as a stopper, and being able to carry it on a finger like a pirate just adds to it. The rum itself has a good rich flavor, drinkable on the rocks, but mixes better.

J'avais entendu de tout et de rien sur ce rhum... J'ai été agréablement surpris de découvrir un produit épicé, certes, mais équilibré. Le nez est frais, la bouche est franche, mais la puissance des épices est réellement maîtrisée.
Seul bémol : il est très court en bouche !

Pleasant surprise. I thought all the hype would be just that. Much better than I expected, and with a nice little kick. Definitely would recommend giving it a try.

I fell in love with the bottle, the concept, everything... not often that advertising and a brand image hooks me in... then I drank some and remembered how much I loved rum. I've read that this (like other black or spiced rums) is excellent mixed with ginger beer. But my personal favorite is to mix it with Dr. Pepper. The flavors compliment each other tremendously. But unlike Captain Morgan or Sailor Jerry (both of which I like in mixers), the Kraken is actually VERY good as a sipping rum, on the rocks or neat, as well. This is a SOLID spiced rum.
