Kraken Black Spiced

As a beginning rum drinker is kraken rum a fine way to start. It has a smooth tast and it's a good way to end a common evening.

I don't like this at all, not even mixed. I can understand why people like it though. Not the rum for me.

It tastes really good for me. Very much of flavour, fairly strong and at the same time quite smooth. The look of the bottle is an additional advantage.

With gingerale this makes a pretty good dark and stormy, with enough spice to compliment the soda nicely. However, it's not my first choice by any means, and for some bizarre reason I enjoy Captain Morgan Black more than I do this, especially neat or on the rocks.
I'm surprised to find that many reviews say that this is a very smooth drink, it hurts to drink this neat for me, but I suppose everyone's palates are different.

It’s not brilliant, but they’re not really aiming for the same standards as an El Dorado. It’s an ok drink, which is much better than the competitors in that low-market area, and when you grew up on White Bacardi and Malibu, this is enough of an eye-opener that it’ll make you wonder how good rum gets. I probably wouldn’t drink it on it’s own, or want to think about what’s actually going in it, but it does what it's trying to.

This is a common easy to find rum that is preferably drank neat or on ice for me. Its distinct flavor overpowers mixed drinks.

the only thing is that when I drink a glass of it, I can’t drink another classic rum after that , this one has a special spicy taste that stays in your mouth
