Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

Both the anejo especial and the 7 year are ideal to mix with, the anejo especial you can imo put in every cocktail where the 7 year is more suitable for a dark and stormy or Cuba libre. Neat I don't drink either, tried both, and both are ok, value for money the 7 year is good even. But I simply have better options available to drink neat. Both are for these reasons a solid 6 for me and get the same review.
I tend to focus on value for money in my reviews and I can tell you this rum delivers on that. My father and I have a Christmas eve tradition of sharing 2 glasses before bedtime and it is one of my favorite parts of the holiday. A truly smooth pleasure to sip neat, there is no need for ice or chilling. Just a nice snifter glass, some good company, and a cigar if that is to your liking. For the price, I don't know that there's a better widely available choice.
For its price it is really good rum. It can be enjoyed as a sipper, but i like to use it in classic cocktails.
Dobry i nie drogi rum dla każdego kakao czekolada i te klimaty. Tanio i dobrze
Nice rum for mixing used it for Cuba libre
Pairs well with other cocktails
It's very confusing
I complete understand why you would make a mixer spirit but the truth is if you give it a go with a cube or two of ice and it's not bad. By that I mean it does its job. It sits ok with cola or some other meaningless mixer but as a stand alone rum - no thanks.
No good, no bad. Middle of the park rum. Smooth and no burn....sadly and that's
from necking it straight up from the bottle. I do like a burn, rum only feels great when you have some burn. Havan Club 7 is avg and decent for everyday but neck it soon to finish the bottle then move on!
Not much to say; it's the perfect standard quality rum. I enjoy rum neat and in small sips, so this HC7 is the go if you don't want to spend a lot.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

'caramel, cane sugar, and a bit of cinnamon character in the finish'

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
