Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

On the nose I get a subtle sweet citrus aroma with distant spices.
On the palate I get a buttery sweetness that develops into a bust of sweet citrus syrup followed by super smooth medium length finish with a lingering sweet buttery taste followed by spices. It’s a great rum that’s full of flavour and very well balanced.
A good all-rounder, works both straight and in cocktails, but it's not spectacular by any standard. The sting of alcohol is a bit too pronounced, maybe even more than on his younger sibling. There are better rums at this price point, but not by much.
Lovely light amber colour. Lots of ripe fruit and molasses along with some fig on the nose. The first sip is some more molasses with a heavy oak influence. A little burn and some dried fruit going down. Definitely sippable, especially with some ice. Absolutely outstanding mixed with roasted coconut water. Really good with ginger beer too. In terms of value-for-dollar, I rank this probably second to the El Dorado 12.
Very good price for good quality.............,.......................................................

This is the nightclub rum for Cuba libres. Brings back good memories and is sweet to taste
Why spend more on a sipping rum if this ‘budget’ alternative does the job well?

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Encountered this in Brussels. Dark gold in color. Caramel aroma. Big bolus of maple syryp. Smooth. Delicious. Toasted. I love it. Great caramel toffee with a woody finish. Fantastic smooth and mild mouthfeel with only a slight finishing tingle. Yum.
