The strength on the nose of this is brutal however the taste is what a white rum should taste like strong on the grass and caramel smell ...pot still beautiful.. would I pay a lot for a bottle no but would I sample for something different from a rum most definitely
This is proof, white rums do not have to be boring! A tasty rum on its own, really good. Surprisingly fruity.
One of the best White rums i’ve ever had. Tons of funk
7.5/10 this seemed to be an interesting profile for a white rum with a decent amount of that highly sought after jamaican funk. Would like to try it again as my palate was pretty shot the first time around.
Crystal clear in the glass.
In the nose the fragrances go directly into the brain. Freshly pressed sugar cane forms the base, fresh flowers and citrus fruit are on top. But there is a lot more in it, cardamom, pepper, liquorice, glue and much more, has twice as much ester as an average Jamaican rum.
The palate is extremely fresh and light, the 57% do their job and carry the aromas explosively over the tongue. Vanilla ice cream soaked in sugarcane juice, licorice sticks wrapped in lime zest, white fruits like pears, apples, grapes flavored with pepper and cardamom ... ............ all that would go beyond the scope.
In the finish just wonderful and long, beautiful oily-creamy, fruits, spices, sugar cane ... ...
A truly aromatic powerful white rum connoisseurs and lovers. By the way, for pure drinking or for very exquisite drinks.
Sweet notes, leathery oily aroma. Earthy and vegetal of fresh mushrooms. Boiled cane, fresh guava juice and fruit of sweet pineapple.
Earthy vegetal with sweet basil, with lots of mineral and oiliness. Rich banana compote.
Nutty, dried plum with cardamom.
Very much on nose compare to the tasting. Finishing was interesting as it has a different characteristics compare to nosing.
Great old-style Jamaican rum. 3 months of fermentation. Unique taste n tones!
It's growing on me. My bottle's only been uncracked for the first time for upwards of 30 min. Weirdly, air is helping. I put the cork back in, but still. It's getting better. Or I'm getting used to it. Normally, I prefer older rums and more industrial rums, such as Caronis. This rum before me is a complex welk of a thing. A rather widdershinsian beastie, to be sure.
Really nice Jamaican white
Turbo charged rum fire, but a bit more savory.
It doesn’t have quite as much complexity a from the nose.
"A little “refined” especially in the finish ,some nice oaked notes."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
