Nicaragua | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)
A sugar-free 12-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed in a Rum Old Fashioned or with a splash of premium sparkling water or ginger ale and an orange twist.

Enjoyable sipping rum but I've tasted better. Not as smooth as some 12 years I've had
This is a rum that was on my wish list a long time. In its price range it is an ok rum. Some ice or adding a little water smooths the taste. This rum makes me curious for the 18 years and 25 years old Flor de Cana. I am absolutely going to try these 2.
Wow, best value for money I experienced till now. Around 20€, super round, little oak, chocolate, leather, coco- & other nuts, long outflow. Everbody loves this rum. For me better than or at least equal to all those Don Papa or Botucal Reserva standards.
The price quality is great for this rum. Super smooth and rich in flavour. Great neat, in cocktails or as a mixer. Lovely caramel and chocolate notes.
An interesting rum. Tastes like it is aging in barique barrels. Bit of smoke in the taste. Medium kicking. Just enough. Good. Oh yes, cheers Ondrej my firstborn!
Really drinkable rum, one bottle gone in two weeks lovely!
I have had the luxury of tasting some excellent rums while on vacation in Mexico and other places in the Caribbean. At our most recent visit to a 5 star resort on the Riviera Maya they served FdC12 at every occasion including in our suite. At other 4/5 star all-inclusives FdC7 was served. The 12 was more mature with a smooth taste which was a pleasure to drink on the rocks. Surprisingly, the taste was too smooth with little bold alcohol flavors found in fine rums or single-malt whiskeys. Admittedly , I am a person with a champagne taste and a beer budget so the practical side of me comes to the fore. In conclusion, I really like this rum but would be happy paying less than half the price for its younger sibling.
Agradable, no se siente en exceso el alcohol al pasar. No es tan dulce como otros rones, pero no le quita lo bueno.
'smooth and full of fruit and nut flavors'
"Flor de Cana 12-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
There is very little astringency or “booze” noted in the nose.
"A sip reveals a very smooth yet spicy rum. There is very little burn it tingles on the lips and tongue for a long time. It is a long finish."

After discovering and enjoying Flor de Caña 7, the 12 years bottle was inevitably the next step. Maybe a little bit better but far from a new world. No placeholder for this one on my cabinet.
NB: I am not a specialist. It just happens that I like rum.
