Vanilla note on the nose. Carmel and woody notes up front with a light Vanilla finish.
My go-to for mixed drinks, makes a sweet daquiri and doesn't break the bank, I gave it a 7 for that and of course this is not a rum for the connoisseur.
Lots of low reviews on this Flor De Cana offering. Although not as smooth as the 12 year it is very drinkable sipping rum. The sugar free aspect for me is what sets this rum apart from others.
Drinkable, though rougher than the 7 year.
I found it pretty bland, actually. There's nothing wrong with it - I've just a preference for Jamaican rums, with their propensity for slapping one in the face, whereas I'm afraid that this one would vanish if mixed into anything
Actually a bit suprised by this one. Like it just a bit better than the 7 year old. Mix it with coke
Very good for the price. My frien is from Nicaragua and he recommended it. And I was not disappointed
It's nothing special but worthy of being in the collection.
Flor de Cana 5 year. Carmel, Burnt sugar,Vanilla and Orange zest makes for nice cocktail.
Much better than aldi Old Hopking. Reasonable to drink neat. Very good with a mixer. Excellent quality for the price. Smokey and smooth taste. Would definitely buy again.
Strong heavy alcohol notes are very much present.
"It’s also pretty rough going down and very very spicy on the finish."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not crazy but a decent rum without any pretension.
