A sugar-free 18-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed neat or on a rock, with a peel of orange.

A great sipping rum. It's smooth and pleasant taste make this rum a bargain. It make you feel his age, but not quite 18YO. I am new in rum world that's why it is just an 8 star. I'll keep the other two stars for special treats ;)
This rum does not taste refined enough to be an 18year rum, not saying that its unpleasant, just don't be fooled by the number on the bottle
Try the iced rum with a sliced vanilla. It's beyond imagination
This has delicious flavor and aroma. Only downside for me is I wish it was stronger. I find it a bit thin.
Very smooth rum, with a round taste, and it has more body than the cheaper rums (apart from sugar bombs, but that's not an equal comparison). Sweetness is also there and is just right. Nose is toffee and tobacco.
But this is pretty much where the excitement ends for me, as taste is not good and the aftertaste is very short. Taste starts with the usual caramel, oak and some vanilla. Then follow hazelnuts and tobacco. This is very promising as you don't get hazelnuts and tobacco in cheaper rums but for me the combination of these two flavors gets very strange in the mouth and tastes like chicken liver, which is not very nice.
It has no burn at the end at all. Like others have noted, it needs some time in the glass to open up and for the alcohol to give way to other aromas.
For the price (45EUR) I expected more, especially in the aftertaste department, and the weird liver taste drives me off.
Chuť po čokoládě mě moc neoslovila a asi už mu další šanci nedám.
Recently tried the 12 year old ....I was VERY impressed with the rum they produce....went to the LCBO website to see what else they had ...up pops the 18 year old for 50 $....5 more than the 12 .....well I had to go for it ....WOW!...soooooo smooooooooth .....gone in just over a week ....went back for more .....LCBO ..in their infinite wisdom ...DELISTED this particular age , with no explanation ....so, I am going with my original tasting ..and say , YES , I ENJOYED it..!!....
In my top 3 rums. I’m a bourbon lover, and Flor de Cana is a simple, sweet sipping rum with no burn on the back end.
Toffee, Caramel, Dark Chocolate, hazlenuts and a little touch of tobacco give a sweet but not overly cloying nose.
"It’s not overly sweet and retains a dryness which is particularly good on the finish."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
