I can't work out the smell in this! My mind keeps going to tequilla, but I really can't bring back the memory.
Taste is very dry, mild, wood.
Doesn't really taste much like a rum to me, but can't really work out what it does do.
This local Colorado distillery is doing a great job in producing such a high-quality rum with only a three year aging process. The local port barrel finish is much to my liking as it sweetens things up a bit and keeps things more sustainable.
Notes of fresh raspberries, strawberries and ginger. It's like smelling a fistful of fresh earth after a sugar beet harvest (also a well known Colorado thing).
Lovely neat, great in cocktails, love a distiller with such top environmental credentials
I am not a huge fan of over-sweetened rums. This one has so many lovely layers. Dry port finish, so smooth from 3 years of aging. I love the Mediterranean aspect of this rum, a touch of olive bitterness that Europeans would love. So so worth finding this hard to find bottle.
This is my go to rum when I want a calm familiar drink. THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE RUM. If you drink this expecting your typical rum you will have a bad time. Also if you have a big swig of it the alcohol will burn you, take it slow small sips and you will be able to appreciate this rum.

The bottle of this is very impressive and the brand ambassador kindly explained in detail that the glass is highly recyclable and took years to finalise .
The rum itself is an improvement in colardo production and my personal favourite from the company .
It had a low ester profile in a Mediterranean style finish with had hints of black pepper, candid fruits , finished with some wine and maple syrup notes
