El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

serious rum that will not let you down, dark heavy, a bit sweet, good for any occasion
Super smooth with a peppery bite at the end. Great lingering after taste.

Sampled ED15 and can understand why this Rum is a favourite of so many rum drinkers. It is sweet and easy to drink, unfortunately I prefer dry rums. For sweet rum drinkers add 3 points.
Nice rum, sweet but in a nice way. Not as smokey as the 12 year old. I like this one over the 12. All in all very recommendable.
Can easily pour glass after glass and before I know it the bottle is gone. El dorado have got a knack of producing fine rums. This expression is both smoky and smooth not quite as complex as the 21 year old but just as nice at half the price. Can pick this up for £48 on Amazon next day. Would make a wonderful gift to any rum or even whisky drinker.
Sehr leckerer Rum. Geschmack und Duft sind verführerisch. Einzig der Alkohol ist ein bisschen top much für mich. Andere Rums brennen nicht so sehr im Hals.
The rum that converted me (well, sort of!) from drinking malt whiskies only, to the rum side. Sweet & tangy with a long, deep finish there's a complexity there that adds to the overall but doesn't detract from the flavour.
I really like this ! Picked up a bottle for $60 CDN I’ve tried the 12 year and the 21 year this 15 year old really hits the spot excellent price point not as harsh of nose as the 12 yr and oh so smoooth rolls on the tongue. Enjoy every sip of this rum truly a good rum
