El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

As tasty as liquid gets, not just rum, I would be very surprised if there was a better tasting liquid on the planet.
It has to get marked down cos of all the added sugar, but I’ll almost allow it for something that tastes this nice.
Dle hodnoceni zde jsem cekal, ze to bude spicka. Mozna i je, ale osobne mi neprisel tak skvely. Vune koreni a trochu koure. Chut nasladla se silnym zaverem
Very similar to Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva but with a little more burn. Initial alcohol smell fades away. Super smooth, beautiful nose, long legs. Gorgeous dark caramel colour. Burnt prunes or dark cherries left on the glass once consumed. What's not to like? About $62 at the LCBO.
Drink this one neat or on the rocks. Use the 12 for mixing in good cocktails. I'm quite partial to the Demerara style.
První rum byl odsud poprvé exportován do Venezuely, Kostariky a středoamerických států v roce 1959.
V letech 1963 a 1965 prošel lihovar v Chichigalpě rozsáhlou modernizací. O osm let později byl postaven druhý lihovar a to v Hondurasu. Plantáže a lihovar v Chichigalpě byl kompletně modernizován v roce 1996.
Dnes jsou zde vyráběny skvostné rumy, které ocení jak vyzrálý gurmán, tak i mladí lidé.

Nice aroma, smooth and rounded taste full body with many layers. Long aftertaste.
Similar to Diplomatico 12y but more "mature" and less sweet.
Very similar to Presidente Marti 19.
Dark and fruity. Smooth. Full of flavours and warmth. Goes great with a cigar and a steak.
